The Return of Jesus

As the disciples watched Jesus drift out of sight high in the sky, two angels spoke significant words to them. “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken from you into heaven will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1 verse 11).

The message that Jesus is going to return has been the continued subject and theme of the church. It is based upon the many prophecies and the personal promise of Jesus that He will return. The return of Jesus is as certain, as the timing of his return, is uncertain. No one knows. However, when the disciples posed the question to Jesus as to when he would come and when the end of the age would happen, Jesus did give some real clues.

Most of us can predict the weather by looking at the sky, or we know what season it is as we observe, whether it be the falling leaves or snowdrops forcing themselves out of the ground.

In Mathew 24 verses 3 – 8 Jesus said when you see ‘these things’ happening on earth, you’ll know the time is near!!  Check them out.

My question is not, is He coming soon, but are you ready for His return?

This brief message may raise more questions than give answers. Jesus is coming again. Will He meet you as your Saviour or your judge?
