Community Involvement
Pastoral Care Groups
The word 'pastoral' is linked to the idea of 'pasture' and the Good Shepherd leading his sheep to good food and safety. All of us are like sheep who can so easily go astray, get into danger, have an accident, become ill or wander from a spiritual food source. We all need good friends who can help in such situations. That's what our Pastoral Care Groups are all about. These groups have been set up so that everyone connected with the Church is cared for, supported and encouraged. Otherwise it can be too easy to wander off and get into problems before anyone notices.
Community Contact Magazine
We produce three issues of the Community Contact Magazine annually - at Easter, September and Christmas. People find it racy, relevant and readable. Church members contribute articles, puzzles, recipes, quizzes, quotable quotes and forthcoming events.
Two thousand copies of this colourful and imaginative magazine are produced and delivered door-to-door across the town by members of the Church. Download the latest edition here as a PDF. You need Abobe Reader to read this document. You probably already have this on your computer. If not, download Adobe Reader here.
