Minister's Message Easter 2011

The Greatest Story Ever Told

Japan was plunged into chaos after a cataclysmic earthquake sent relentless tsunami waves rushing through villages and towns.

The Geologists explanation that Japan is an earthquake prone country as it is situated on two of the major tectonic plates, and the clear evidence that this was likely to happen, will do nothing to dilute the great sorrow and sadness of human grief.

We can always explain or provide evidence for disasters and wars, for economic decline and major upheavals in life, but do we ever learn?

As we celebrate Easter, we know it is a story easily explained and is held together by clear unmistakable evidence that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again from the dead. Three incredible days changed the whole course of history and humanity. Death was defeated, darkness gave way to light and hope was brought to the hopeless.

Easter is a never ending story for every culture, country and continent. A story not to be ignored. You can read the account of Easter in the Bible from Johns gospel chapters 19 and 20. Contact us for a free booklet that explains this amazing story.

Sadly there will be many stories that will tell of people who ignored the warnings to flee from the imminent disaster in Japan. I urge you to look beyond the fluffy bunnies and the cuddly rabbits and look at the empty tomb.

May you have a great Easter break.
