Prayer of Dedication for 2011

Father God as 2011 shadows before me
I want to live in the light of your presence
I recognize that you are my provider
I acknowledge that you are my protector
My desire is to put you first, to obey your word, and to live according to your will.

I thank you for leaving the Holy Spirit to empower and enrich my life.
May I never grieve Him or quench Him as He rules and reigns in my life.

Lord Jesus may I be daily thankful for your amazing love toward me.
May I never cheapen your mercy and grace through my actions and attitudes.
I am so aware that I so easily excuse my sin.
May I show true repentance but also live in the joy of sins forgiven.

I pray also that the church, which I am part of, will grow in unity, truth and love.
That I may always seek to make these things a reality, enable me to be a greater giver and less of a receiver.

All these things I pray in your name and for your glory. Amen
