Minister's Christmas Message

Good News seem to be in short supply at the moment, that is, if you believe the Media. Someone said that she is cancelling Christmas this year!

Certanly there is economic gloom, political tension and future uncertainty. However, this is a time of Good News.

The Angel said to the Shepherds, "I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." Some may ask, Where is it? It is hidden in this verse from the bible.

God so loved the world that he gave his
One and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
Perish but have
Everlasing
Life

Christmas is, and always has been, about God's great gift of sending Jesus into this world so that we can find forgiveness of our sins and discover new life in him.

The Shepherds to whom this promise was originally given went to see if it was all true. It was.....maybe we do not look look for it hard enough.

Is it hidden under the rubble of our cynicism, or concealed by our unbelief?
